How long does migration take?

It depends on your archive size. The export from your current system typically takes a few hours. Piler can import at rates of 2,000-5,000 emails per second, so even millions of emails can be imported within hours.

Will I lose any data?

No. Piler imports standard EML files which contain the complete email including all headers, body, and attachments. All metadata is preserved and fully searchable.

What about duplicates?

Piler automatically deduplicates emails during import. If the same email exists multiple times in your export, it's stored only once. This can significantly reduce storage requirements.

Can I run both systems in parallel during migration?
